I've stepped over the edge. This is my first posting. I'm not sure if I've stepped off a cliff or into another world. I've been reminded than I'm an alien and I'm hoping that there is some chance of becoming a naturalized citizen of the digital world.

Welcome!
Howdy Partner.
Hey Verne,
Welcome to the blogsphere. Wes told me you started. I look forward to reading insights from the Christian Publishing world. Especially since I hope to write a book one day.
Welcome to the blogosphere.
You mean Wes didn't set you up with your own domain name and everything like he has? ;)
By the way, you will want to activate your "word verification" in the blogger dashboard.
It keeps foul comments by spam programs from being posted. Wes can help.
Regarding your thought that you might have stepped over a cliff or into another world ... You have indeed! But it is fun anyway. Welcome to the Blogosphere!
Hi Verne.
If you're related to Wes, you're ok. At least that's what HE says.
I'm 68 years old and I have a terrific time wandering around and commenting on various blogs, including Wes'. It's been a source of a lot of new friends in the last year.
Do prowl around the blogs and follow links from Wes' and other blogs to check the blogs they read. There's a lot of fascinating stuff going on out there.
Anyhoo .. welcome to the wunnaful wunnaful world of blogging.
Incidentally, you have (perhaps unknowingly) just qualified as Time's Person of the Year.
Congratulations.
G'day Verne from the real deep south, (Australia) Wes told me you had set up a blog, and said I should go straight to the source with a question I asked him a little while ago.
Since Rupert M took over Zondervan, has it any way affected the evangelical stance and editorial policy of Zondervans?
My email is grosey2@exemail.com.au

Welcome to the world of blogging. Please feel free to stop by my blog at http://worldoffaith.wordpress.com/.
Also, I am a big fan of the Zondervan NASB Study Bible. I wish Zondervan produced more products with that level of scholarship.
Dear Mr. Kenney,
Turn back! Turn back!
Turn back before it's too late!
Tuuuurrrrnnn baaaaaccckkk!
Jeff
Welcome to blogging Verne. I really enjoy it, and I predict you will enjoy it as well.
Verne,
It's a pleasure to see your blog. I look forward to reading your insights from a publisher's perspective.
Maybe you can give Wes some advice on picking NFL games too. :)
Regards,
Les
Welcome Verne!
How great to be in on your blog from the very beginning! Here's a tip for drawing in readers: If you have any pictures of yourself hugging famous people, that's always a big draw. :-)
Looking forward to reading more!
...and if you have any embarrassing stories about Wes, that is sure to draw a huge readership.
See, the first step to becoming a naturalized citizen in this digital world... is to actually be apart of it. Ie.. blogging. :)
